Application Process Overview:
Zemliaki Trade and Culture Association/Association of Russian-speaking Manitobans/Russian Cultural Association of Manitoba - Ethnocultural Community Driven Immigration Initiative is a support program for those who will apply for permanent residence IN MANITOBA through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. Strategic Initiative Pathway. If an applicant is not able to qualify on their own to apply to the MPNP (e.g., with the support letter of a friend or family member), they can apply to our initiative for an endorsement letter. We choose approximately 25 families per year to be supported by our program. This is typically approximately 5% of applications received.
Step 1: Determine whether you qualify federally and provincially for our program.
Step 2: Apply to us according to the instructions set here.
Step 3: If you are pre-selected for the Russian Cultural Association of Manitoba's - Ethnocultural Community Driven Immigration Initiative, you will be invited for a preliminary online interview with the Association’s representative.
Step 4: Upon successful online interview and formal review and pre-approval of your candidature by the Community Board, you will be provided with a pre-approval support letter and an invitation for an exploratory visit.
Step 5: To visit Winnipeg for an exploratory trip, you will need to determine whether you require a visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), depending on your nationality and mode of travel. If needed, you have to apply for a visitor visa or ETA (if applicable) to come for an exploratory visit to Winnipeg.
Step 6: Once preparations for the visit are complete, kindly confirm the dates and the visit plan with the Association’s representative.
Step 7: During the exploratory visit, you will have an orientation session with the Community upon arrival, research Manitoba, and prepare for your future MPNP process. Your information and exploratory visit report will be submitted to MPNP
after completion of the exploratory visit and your return to the country of residence upon successful final interview with the Community at the end of your visit.
Step 8: The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), after reviewing your application and your Exploratory Visit Report, may invite you to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP pool. Note that an exploratory visit is always necessary for this process and does not guarantee MPNP invitation to apply.
Step 9: Once you are pulled from the MPNP EOI pool, you can apply online for MPNP.
Step 10: After the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) finishes assessing your application and determines that you meet all the minimum qualifications, you will receive a Nomination Letter from the province of Manitoba.
Step 11: Using this nomination letter, you can apply for federal processing within the federal Express Entry system.
Step 12: Citizenship and Immigration Canada will do a further review, including medical and criminal record checks.
Step 13: Once you receive your Permanent Residence Visas and Confirmation of PR, you can make arrangements for you and your family to move to Manitoba.
